Cruise Loch Lomond approached Everyone with a request to update its brand image and its digital offering. We refreshed the brand’s digital identity and also - to improve customer engagement - modernised its entire digital offering by creating a tailor-made, real-time integrated booking system that works online, pierside and onboard.
Cruise Loch Lomond have complex logistical needs and it was our role to re-engineer all of their existing booking processes into a more streamlined experience for the customer, their trading partners and for the client themselves to run their business more efficiently.
Cruise Loch Lomond are essentially a cruise tour operator - but uniquely they also encourage their customers to explore the surrounding areas, take walks, cycle and discover the Loch’s islands.
During our discovery phase, we identified that the boat cruises weren't just circular trips. Allowing passengers to get on and off and return at different times makes the booking facility a completely different offering.
To meet the business requirements, we meticulously mapped each route, created sailing "legs," and developed a bespoke back-end system that manages every aspect of the sailings, including times, capacity, pricing, seasonal changes, and more.
Additionally, we integrated the site and booking facility into handheld devices and Stripe's payment handsets to facilitate on-site bookings at the pier and on-board purchases.The end-to-end system enables customers to purchase a tour in advance or walk up, book, and sail.
This new digital ecosystem has resulted in a significant upturn in year-on-year sales for Cruise Loch Lomond and also provided the crew and staff with a more relaxed and controlled working environment.
